What We Need
We are looking for Data Analyst a who will play a critical part in supporting Element’s profitable growth through the timely completion of high-quality credit underwriting and portfolio management duties.

As a Data Analyst you will be directly responsible for supporting the redeployment process and redeployment reporting.
A Day in the Life
  • Extracts data from multiple sources to uncover opportunities or detect issues.
  • Focuses efforts to review and improve existing reporting and design, and implement visualizations that clearly communicate results, patterns, and leading indicators.
  • Contributes to creation and implementation of data mining architecture, modeling standards and data analysis methodologies.
  • Contributes to data cleansing and data integrity verification ensuring continuous data quality across product verticals and related business areas.
  • Support control structures to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
  • General administration and assisting Data Quality Lead on preparing regular reporting on state of data quality across all data sets in our platform
  • Collaborate with relevant functions of the company internally & externally to ensure data needs are addressed and the required data is modeled and available to analysts and end-users
  • Partner with the Data & Analytics Lead to regularly review and enrich the current reporting development methodology / processes and make recommendations on the level of documentation that needs to be performed and metadata that needs to be captured.
  • Identify and document data quality problems through data profiling and advanced analysis.
  • Support projects to visualize and aid action with regards to vendor operational performance and data governance
  • Create dashboards and automated data checks to provide visibility on process and data quality
  • Perform regular monitoring and data cleanliness activities to ensure that customer relationships are appropriately managed in the database
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity and collection gaps by working with the business and technical teams.
  • Partner with vendor management team to ensure appropriate data ingestion procedures are followed, this includes appropriate change management
  • Assess the current processes and technology in use to make recommendations for data accuracy improvements; and conduct project work for approved recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytics or BI role in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, preferably in ecommerce and/or at a startup
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages e.g. Python, R, SQL, Power Query, DAX
  • Excellent analytical skills, diagnostic reporting skills,
  • Creative problem solver, curious
  • Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills especially related to data visualization
  • Strong document management skills and attention to details
  • Experience in writing complex SQL and phyton queries and stored procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps

  • Ability to translate complex data analysis into simple, actionable insights that stakeholders can understand and take action on
